KOMPASS - Compact help for solo self-employed persons
Even in times of non-crisis, commercial and freelance solo self-employed people repeatedly face existential danger. As well as the requisite time and personnel resources, they often lack the basic knowledge to make themselves crisis-proof and competitive. Uncertainty and fear of debt or insolvency are constant companions. Important medium and long-term tasks such as digitalisation are often put on the back burner.
KOMPASS aims to support full-time solo self-employed persons with a maximum of 1 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees to increase the resilience of their business model. The key to this will be an unbureaucratic and low-threshold procedure for accessing skills development and supplementary support services to lastingly embed the knowledge acquired in their own business in order to create prospects for viable solo self-employment.
The core of the programme is about harnessing central continuing education and training measures to enable participants to make their business model more crisis-proof and sustainable. By the end of the programme, participants should have expanded skills they can tap into for their business to continue their business model (more) successfully.
