In 2014-2020, the EU invested around 22 billion euros to support youth employment. This study evaluates the support provided through the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) and the European Social Fund (ESF) during the period 2014-2018. Operations carried out by Member States are targeted at young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) and aged between 15-29 years old.
The report is complemented by country specific factsheets summarising, for each EU country, the socio-economic context and challenges, the ESF priorities and actions, the number and profiles of participants to ESF-funded activities, and the lessons learned. The factsheet of Germany you find here.
